Unlike the FlexStyle, which has multiple heads, this tool uses two modes: wet and dry. You can dry and style wet hair on the wet setting, then switch to dry mode to refresh or lock in the look. The device is teardrop-shaped, with heat-controlled ceramic plates and nylon and boar bristles that sit close to the roots without burning the scalp.
Because the reviewer already used the brush attachment on the FlexStyle, there wasn’t much of a learning curve. She washed her hair, applied a Shiseido Fino hair mask, and let it air dry for about half an hour before starting.
