Allegro is expanding its logistics, financial, and advertising tools to help sellers integrate them into their own online stores, breaking away from its traditional focus on its own marketplace. Marcin Kuśmierz, the company’s CEO, revealed this strategy during Allegro Open, a major ecommerce conference in Poznań that drew thousands of industry participants from across Poland.
The initiative allows sellers to apply Allegro’s logistics networks and advertising platforms directly to their independent shops. Kuśmierz described the approach as “globally unique,” positioning it as a departure from the standard horizontal marketplace model. The company will also develop specialized interfaces for sectors like automotive parts and cosmetics, ensuring a user experience comparable to dedicated niche platforms.
Allegro’s financial performance continues to grow. The company reported a 13.7% increase in gross merchandise volume (GMV) for the first half of 2026, compared to the same period in 2025. International GMV saw an even sharper rise of 64.8%. While Allegro maintains operations in Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary, it divested its marketplaces in Slovenia and Croatia earlier this year.

In addition to service expansions, Allegro announced two new programs: a uniform seller protection framework and an Allegro App Store for third-party merchant tools. The company also stressed operational improvements, including AI-driven efficiency gains through a partnership with OpenAI. Kuśmierz framed the shift as a move toward greater focus on both customers and business partners, calling it a transition to a “customer- and partner-centric” model.
Allegro is also introducing Allegro XL, a logistics service for large, heavy items developed in collaboration with Rohlig SUUS Logistics. The service covers unpacking, assembly, and installation for subscribers of Allegro Smart, the company’s loyalty program. Kuśmierz noted that this addresses a significant obstacle in online sales of bulky products, creating new opportunities for Polish retailers.
